The centers were established in the country to accelerate innovation, leverage key India-based competencies in advanced software design, next-generation controls, automation solutions, mechanical design, systems simulation, and design energy efficient, competitive products and solutions for India and emerging markets. Our Engineering and Technology Centers contribute to the company’s global growth by providing high-tech, niche engineering solutions and technologies as well as support regional product development.

The Engineering and Technology Centers are strategic hubs for global innovation and technical excellence within the company. Carrying forward Ingersoll Rand's mission of being a global leader in providing safe, efficient, and comfortable environments, these centers are home to the best talent in the country in a variety of disciplines (embedded software, applications software, firmware, electronics, hardware, mechanical design, test automation, and advanced modeling, simulation, and analysis) while providing world-class infrastructure, and vibrant work environment.

The centers are now serving as incubators to global centers of excellence in several domains ranging from Technology Convergence Systems to Wireless Technologies, Advanced Modeling and Simulation to Low-cost Product Development, and Product Localization to Next-Generation Manufacturing Technologies.

Growth Through Innovation

Innovation drives our ability to advance the quality of life and deliver results to our customers. Growth through innovation, emerging markets and services requires understanding our customers, connecting our existing capabilities and delivering results in new and innovative ways.

We strive for continual improvement in our products, services and processes, and in the value we provide to our customers, employees and the communities we serve. We embrace sustainability as a catalyst for business growth and innovation. Ingersoll Rand’s Center for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability (CEES) works collaboratively with our businesses to address global issues that impact energy, food and water by providing sustainable solutions, product stewardship and supporting initiatives that deliver results.

Innovation stems from imagining something better and often begins with a desire to build something better. Innovation is critical for emerging economies because products and services resulting from research and development activities in emerging economies are expected to better address the needs of a large population that is defining the growth of the global economy.
